Message boards : Graphics cards (GPUs) : How to run two CUDA WUs with single GTX295

I've one GTX295 card running with QX6700 and the best I can crunch is 3 CPU + 1 CUDA WUs simultaneously. I've set the config for BOINC to run max of 6 tasks but it doesn't work.

It's easy. Install the newest driver 182.08, reboot, go the Nvidia control and disable the simultan GPU mode, restart BOINC

also try boinc 6.6.17... Updated BOINC to v6.6.17 and use NVIDIA driver 182.08. Now I can compute 4 CPU WUs +1 CUDA WUs. Still no lick. I did try to disable multi-GPUs and also PhysX GPU acceleration but when BOINC start computing CUDA task, it gave me blue screen error right away or computation error within 3 seconds. This is a possible driver issue or it was my GTX295's fault?

also try boinc 6.6.17... Ahh I'm not sure now I can do that, in the NVIDIA control panel doesn't have any option to disable SLi. I only one monitor and how can I extend the desktop to the second GPU? If you don't mind tellin me. Soryy for this bunch of question but I'm rather new to NVIDIA, been ATI's guy for several years ;-).

If you don't mind tellin me. I use Vista 64Bit with 182.08. With older driver I had a BSOD in the single GPU mode. I turn PhysX on - and activate the not-multi-GPU-mode. SLI is the Multi-GPU-Mode <- this must be disabled! Perhaps its a problem between Win7 and the driver... Kind regards Joe

"Ahh I'm not sure now I can do that, in the NVIDIA control panel doesn't have any option to disable SLi. I only one monitor and how can I extend the desktop to the second GPU? My motherboard use Intel X38 chipset not the NVIDIA one, don't think I can set anything in relation to the NVIDIA GPU in the BIOS. Tried to work around but end up in either the blue screen errors or computation errors. I actually add another card to my computer, 8600GTS which is not the good one but at least it's CUDA enabled. Still no luck, can run only one WU at a time instead of three and is extremely unstable. Can easily get computation error with two cards enabled. Or maybe my settings were improper.

The SLI controls have to be in the driver and may be in the BIOS. The NV driver offers so few options, I'd imagine it's hard not to find the option there?

I tried that option but always end up in the blue screen error and/or computation error result on BOINC.

On my GTX 295 cards I get blue screen when I use the Nvidia control panel. When I installed the drivers on the two cards it took four cycles to install all the drivers ... but, I cannot use the control panel.
